summer travels : lopez island, washington

Just as on Orcas Island, we lucked out with one day of sun and one day of misty gray sky on Lopez Island.

First off, some photos of one of the most amazing spots I've ever been, Point Colville on the southern tip of the island. After following a trail through the woods, we arrived at this coastline of rocky bluffs and fields of grass and wildflowers. We watched seals and orcas (who both photograph terribly for the record) from shore for hours, completely losing track of time.
