puebla : mexico

By Fano Quiriego

I did my research on Cinco de Mayo and learned that the holiday is observed more in the United States than it is in most of Mexico. Except for in the state of Puebla, Mexico. The Battle of Puebla ended on May 5, 1862 when the Mexican army defeated the French. Thus the cause for celebration. In the States, it's seen as a holiday celebrating Mexican heritage in general.

I cruised Flickr for photographs of Puebla -- and here are a few favorites.
